The initiative

Abhinav Chauhan | MBA-IB 2012-14
As human beings, it is amongst our natural instincts to grow in multi dimensions. We tend to accumulate past experiences and culminate them in order to hone our current skill sets and understandings. When it comes to understanding management holistically and gaining education therein (or MBA as we term it), the idea is to let all the guards down and look with varied perspectives. What that would ideally mean is to question the very theories of foundation, giving texts a meaning beyond obvious and being observant of the human behaviours and society that otherwise would/might have gone unnoticed. That said, it is also of prime relevance to spurt out these ideas and observations in open forums. Human minds are the brightest biological devices existent and when working in harmony, stunning results can be obtained. The ideas emanating in one mind and backed by an individual set of experiences, when shaped by an entire gamut of diverse brains could climax into a deluge of creativity.

This blog is an effort towards attaining this very aim and a lot beyond. When a student is freed from the shackles of curriculum and left to wander off into the world of revolutionary thinkers and visionary managers, an individuality of thoughts is involuntarily imbibed in the system of education. Such is the vision of the faculty at University Business School (UBS) of Panjab University, and the results are evident in the five decades of  eminent alumni of the institution. Backed by highly curious and creative minds of UBS, this blog acts as a platform to share breakthrough ideas and varied perspectives of the happenings. Also on offer would be a glimpse into the life at UBS, from time to time. Apart from stated, the blog also aims at soliciting ideas, comments and counter-ideas from the readers so as to thrive towards the pinnacle of intellect and understanding.
